Eric Grorud is an ICF Certified coach and a certified Business and Executive Coach. He works with owners, leaders, and emerging leaders to help them grow their impact by improving leadership skills, building trust, developing team members, and cultivating a business ownership mindset. He focuses on working with individuals on the strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth. 

Before launching Next Decision Coaching, Eric worked in professional services as a Partner at Ernst and Young, where he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Digital Data and Analytics (DD&A) practice and the Lead Partner for the Advisory Consulting Program (ACP). Other experiences include working as a Partner in IBM”s Global Business Services, as the COO of International Consulting Associates, and as a consultant at Bain & Co.

Eric’s leadership roles have always involved coaching and mentoring his team. He has successfully worked with dozens of emerging leaders as they progressed into their first leadership roles and beyond.  He believes the best leaders focus on creating future leaders. Some of his proudest moments have been seeing those he’s coached accomplish amazing things. In his past, there was never enough time to coach properly. As a full-time coach, Eric now focuses his total energy on working with amazing people to have an even greater impact.

A graduate of Dickinson College (B.A.) and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (MBA); Eric is a father to two amazing boys and married to a doctor. He loves to travel internationally, ski, and hike with his family. When they aren’t traveling, Eric loves to follow soccer/football. The family has season tickets to the local MLS team, DC United, and Eric rarely misses watching an FC Barcelona football match.
